Blueberry Fest & Art on the Rocks

July 27, 2016

A Weekend of Arts & Entertainment

Blueberry Festival

Friday, July 29th will kick off a weekend packed with arts & entertainment for travelers, families & spectators in downtown Marquette. The 15th annual Blueberry Festival will be closing down a portion of Washington & Front Street for a day of local shopping, dining, entertainment & the fine appreciation of Michigan Blueberries. This festival attracts thousands of people every year, & continues to grow. There is much to experience with dance performances, music, local dining & shopping, as well as unlimited blueberries.

Art on the Rocks & the Outback

Art on the Rocks continues the weekend with a judged fine arts show at Lower Harbor Park extending into Saturday & Sunday. The smaller Out Back art show taking place at Picnic Rocks every year has been gaining ground in popularity in conjunction with Art on the Rocks. Many people travel to attend both art shows, which makes for a popular weekend for Marquette.

Beyond the art festivals, Marquette offers many other attractions for travelers & locals alike. The many downtown restaurants, breweries & retail stores will be open to all that venture in the area. It's a weekend of nonstop enjoyment, & all are welcome to join in the fun.
